Upgrade your PHP Version Print

  • 0

All PHP versions supported by WereDigital are always loaded and available in your cpanel interface.

Changing PHP versions is something you do your self when your ready. It Does requires your checking all your site software for compatibility with PHP versions. As this is something quite labour intensive we can not do this for you.

** VERY IMPORTANT.** _changing PHP requires that you check first that all templates, plugins/apps, themes are compatible with the version your are updating to._

Should you try to load an unsupported PHP on a site that has not had all its components, themes, plugin/apps updated the update of PHP will fail.
That failure results in a blank page or 500 error on your website. All website content platforms have how to's available as well if you search the error you received.

**Once you have update all of the software, plug ins apps and themes** and only then go to you cpanel account
and change to the PHP you wish to use.
The PHP selector is found in the software section of cpanel. Use the **MultiPHP Manager** then test your site to ensure it works. If the site does not work go back and change the PHP version to the same version you were using previously. Then go find out what was not updated. Most all software vendors post what PHP is supported by which version of template, Plugins/apps etc.
